I am a recent graduate from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire gaining a 2:1 in my Bachelor of Music (BMus) degree with honours. During my degree I studied with Simon de Souza, Andrew Littlemore (principal, BBC Concert Orchestra), Elspeth Dutch (principal, CBSO) and Ursula Monberg (principal, English Concert Orchestra) along with having masterclasses from internationally renouned musicians such as Sarah Willis, Phil Munds and John Ryan.
Following a year with the National Children's Orchestra, as a teenager I was principal horn with Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, touring to Hungary, Germany and Czechia. I am curently principal horn with St Cat's Wind Ensemble (platinum NCBF award winners) and Petersfield Orchestra.
As a performer I am highly sought after on the South Coast, having considerable orchestral and ensemble experience and with extensive knowledge of orchestral repertoire. Notably I am the first horn in Petersfield Orchestra under Robin Browning's direction and play regularly with Solent Symphony Orchestra and the orchestra at Churcher's College.
As an educator I have had experience leading ensembles at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Junior Department and have greatly enjoyed studying pedagogy and conducting as part of my music degree. I am passionate about people having a positive experience of learning an instrument and am available for teaching both children and adults of any standard on any brass instrument.
